About
We’re thrilled to announce the return of Chariots of Fire, Cambridge’s much-loved charitable relay race, and invite you to enter a team for the 2026 event! Thanks to the incredible support from the Cambridge community, the race has raised over £1.5 million for local charities to date. Building on this success, HCR Hewitsons has once again partnered with race specialists RunThrough to bring you an unforgettable race next year.
In 2025, we raised over £35,000 for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, which provides vital services to seriously ill children across the UK. We’re in the process of selecting the charity we will support in 2026 and will make an announcement in February 2026.
The entry fee covers the cost of putting the event on, we recommend that all teams set up a fundraising page to raise money for the chosen charity partner.

We are thrilled to welcome back Chariots of Fire, Cambridge’s much-loved charitable relay race. Enter a team and be part of a city tradition that has raised more than £1.5 million for local charities thanks to incredible community support. For 2026, HCR Hewitsons once again partners with race specialists RunThrough to deliver a smooth, uplifting event for teams of friends, colleagues, clubs, and families.
In 2025, the event raised over £35,000 for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, helping provide vital services to seriously ill children across the UK.
