Route information

The Larking Gowen Norwich Half Marathon is a major event in the East Anglian race calendar, hosting thousands of runners every year. Returning to Norfolk Showground, this half marathon offers a route with plenty of countryside views.

Starting and finishing at Norfolk Showground, the route weaves through Norwich and its surrounding villages. All of the route is run on closed roads and tarmac surfaces and is mainly flat, offering the perfect opportunity to achieve a PB or try out a half marathon distance for the first time.

Please be aware that there is a strict cut-off time of 3 hours 30 minutes to ensure roads can be reopened on time.

Norfolk Showground is a 20-minute drive from the centre of Norwich, and is easily accessible from Dereham via the A47.

Age Requirements

All runners must be 17 or older to run the half marathon.

Race Packs & Bib Numbers

Further details regarding race packs will be made available nearer the event.

On receipt of your bib number, runners MUST write their name, any medical condition, emergency contact name and contact number on reverse of their race number where requested.

Water Stations

There will be 4 water stations on the route.

Headphones

In-ear headphones are strictly prohibited from the race and anyone seen wearing in ear headphones will be disqualified as per UKA rules by our adjudicators.

Bone-conducting headphones are permitted as long as you can still hear marshal instructions clearly.

When will I receive my race pack for the Larking Gowen Norwich Half Marathon?

Race packs will not be sent out until 10 days before the event. If yours does not arrive in time, you will be able to pickup a new one in the event village on race day.
