Route information

Swim in the stunning Lake at this fantastic triathlon returning back to where it all started , With an undulating cycle route that takes you out into the heart of the forest of Dean and and then the run which is very safe, totally off road, running in the heart of the forest trails, this event offers a beautiful, scenic course.

The lake is the perfect place for spectators to watch as you take on the 70.3 or Olympic distance. The 70.3 route features a 1.9k swim, a 90k cycle and a 21k run, whilst the Olympic distance consists of a 1.5k swim, a 45k cycle and a 10k run.

The race HQ is a short Drive from the Historic town of Lydney, Gloucester in the heart of the Forest of Dean.

Race Briefing

The race briefing is at 08:20, followed by a short walk to the swim start. The life raft will show you the swim route before you enter the water on a shot gun start. (Athletes enter water and gun starts event) for both distances on day.

Kit

Wetsuits will likely be optional. Participants should ensure they have a roadworthy bike and helmet, plus trainers suitable for running.
