We're rallying the community to embrace our heroes' cause, focusing on the sobering reality that each day, 17 to 22 veterans are lost to suicide, a stark reminder that the battle doesn't end even after they hang up their uniforms. It's not just a run; it's our stand against the despair that shadows our brave service members, with the American Legion's Be The One initiative as our guiding force.

On March 29th at Harnett Central High School, we're gathering for a day filled with purpose, from the stirring "Lap of Honor" to insights from guest speakers deeply entrenched in veteran affairs. With a minimal entry fee, offering free participation for veterans, and including race essentials and post-race nourishment, this 5K is your chance to run side by side with valor. Join the effort; pick up your packs, lace up your shoes, and let's champion our veterans together!
