About
Run, unfold and ride into the sunset! Join us for Brompton World Championship California, taking place at the 2026 Life Time Sea Otter Classic in Monterey around the epic Laguna Seca raceway. Starting in traditional Le Mans style, each racer will run to their bike, unfold and race the track. In it for the glory, the winners will be crowned World Champions. Participation in this event is ticketed, but bring along your family and friends for support!
*Please note participants must be aged 18 years and over, and in good physical health

Route information
We'll begin with a parade loop of just over 2 miles - showing off your bikes, warming up and displaying your best fancy dress. The race itself will consist of 3 laps as fast as you can (totaling 6.7 miles). There will be one race, 3 winners in the following categories:
Fastest Male
Fastest Female
Best Dressed

What's included
Each rider will receive a race pack of exclusive goodies, Brompton merch and a timing chip to keep track of finishing times. Your race ticket also includes a 4-day festival pass to the 2026 Life Time Sea Otter Classic Expo. You will pick up your Festival Passes at any Will Call location. Then you can proceed to the Brompton booth to pick-up your race pack.

Race Day Schedule (subject to change):
3:30 PM - check-in cut off time. If you arrive after this time you will not be allowed to race.
3:40 PM – Riders arrive at Brompton staging area
3:50 PM – Opening remarks
4:00 PM – Track opens for combined warm-up + parade lap (open rolling group session)
4:10 PM– Bikes ready at start line
4:15 PM – Race begins
5:20 PM – Award ceremony - Sea Otter Bridge (Same location as start/finish)
